This is a piece of art titled, “Swiming Hole,” gets rotated in-and-out above my couch. No rhyme or reason, I just thought it was an interesting and thought-provoking piece for the room. It sorta casts some whimsy about the relatively modern and austere space. I love creating moments of shock and awe. Keep em talking, I say. After all, that's what good art does - It incites conversation, evokes ideas, and plants a seed. This space always transports me back to fond memories of summer back home in the woods and ponds of my childhood. It helps me recall lazy afternoons chasing frogs, jumping in the water with friends, and then running all the way home before the sun went down- soaking wet. My poor mother. How did she survive us?While this art does often cause head tilts and maybe isn't for everyone - it's still one of my absolute favorites. It has allowed me to share so much with my guest. I love it when art helps us learn more about one another in a deeper more meaningful connection.
